Wonderful getaway. Beautiful scenery in Luray. Lots of fun things to do for the kids. Nice cabins.
Spectacular views, great staff and a fun place.
My family had a family trip on June 15,2017. We had 3 cabins when we arrived the ac wasn't working in the cabin I was in. I asked 3 different times to have it fixed after 5 hours someone finally brought a window unit. We also didn't have hot water or lights in the bunk room. In the cabin my mom and daughtes were in had ants in my grandson's crib. My sister's cabin had dog hair in it. All the cabinshad mold and broken window blinds. The pool closes at 6:00 and doesn't open until 11:00, half the games in the arcade don't work, there are no street lights and the kids on bikes can't see people walking. I will never go back. We drove for 4&1/2 hours to have a vacation from hell.
A fun campground. Lots of activities for the family. Places for tent camping, RVs and two types of cabins (standard and deluxe).
Honestly i would not even rate this with a one star but i had to pick a star to write a review. We arrived at the park about 930 pm on 6/30/17. One of the rangers took us to our cabin C14. My husband took the kids outside to play while i unpacked. As everything is now unpacked and i am trying to make the beds. I notice bugs crawling around the wood going in and out of the cracks. Not paying much attention to them as i chalked it up to being where we had the door open to get our stuff in i kept seeing them. So i grabbed my phone and looked in the cracks. Roaches, there were everywhere. There were soo many roaches in the wood they were just out in plain view. There was roach eggs everywhere also. After killing 6 we decide that we were not sleeping in that cabin, especially after just spending close to 500 to be there for the weekend. With it now well after 12am we leave and had to spend more money to get a hotel for the night. Called the next morning and spoke with Cody. One would think that with the way the cabin was infested with roaches he would have been more sympathetic. No, he was laughing and was very rude and not once did he say sorry for the way the cabin was for our family. Now we are trying to get our money back and per Cody there is no real guarantee that it will happen. So i urge everyone who stays here please please check your rooms because the going rate to sleep in a cabin here for the weekend with your family is close to 500 and you get a free roach infestation.
