All in all, I would recommend this cabin as an affordable and cozy place to stay in this area.

There were a few minor issues, nothing that ruined our stay. We had to call the owner to get the linens we rented (through a clerical error, they weren't provided up front) and the remote for the bedroom fan and fireplace didn't seem to be working properly. This wasn't a problem for us, but be aware even though the cabin is big enough to accommodate 6, there is only 1 bedroom. So, it is designed more for parents with kids rather than a group of adults.

We enjoyed the firepit, hot tub on the upstairs deck overlooking the river, big and comfortable shower, huge cushy king bed and gas fireplace. This was such a beautiful place to stay! I will definitely book again in the next few months with friends I have to show this place to

These cabins are simply flawless. A wonderful piece of property that has anything you need for quiet, romantic getaway. Loved my stay.

Stayed in Mother Goose cabin. Cabin was clean and beautifully finished. Owner is easy to work with and called us afterward to ensure we had a good experience. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking implements and dishes (be sure to check the dishwasher before you assume the cabin doesn't have what you need!). The cabin was still fairly new, so most of the appliances and equipment (heat pump, lighting, etc) worked very well. The cabin is located in a very quiet spot and mostly private, yet is still close to grocery stores and the town of Luray

I tried to book a cabin with them and they denied me a cabin Originally it was due to the amount of people. 4 adults 1 child (7) and 2 infants (10 months and 8 months). I tried calling them over the weekend to book again letting them know that my plans had changed and now it would be my parents, myself, my husband and my two kids (7yrs and 10 months) so a total of 6 kids. The owner I am assuming said she would call me back but she had a attitude. I received an email stating they would like to not rent to me no reason. Which is fine I understand companies have the right to deny service etc.. But I would like to know why and I didn't appreciate the attitude and denial.

We stayed in one of the smaller cabins. The cabin was great. Would've liked to see mountain views, little disappointed that we couldn't see any of it... Only thing missing. The water access was convenient and the location is very good. Unfortunately the river was low, had to go across the island to get to the deeper water. There is a very nice hot tub, volleyball setup, Cornhole boards, and horseshoes. The grill is your basic charcoal campsite grill, nothing fancy. Our cabin did have blankets and pillows but no sheets (we knew about the absence of sheets). There were trash bags, plenty of pots and pans, dishes, silverware, dish soap, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, toaster, four outdoor chairs and a bench plus some built in seating, no oven. No issues with the a/c. Bathroom and shower are small but have all you need. All wood inside, just a little cramped for four people. Bit of advice, you may want to drive a pickup if you plan to use the canoe that comes with the cabin. Also, you're very close to your neighbors. We were thankful for the pines planted in between. Overall a very nice getaway, cabin came with more than expected, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Owner was nice enough to offer a discounted rate for military.
