Room: there is a living room with a pull out couch, coffee maker, microwave, etc. There is also a bedroom with a big comfy bed and a smaller bed good for one person. There are heaters & AC, and the bathroom is super clean. The best part is the hot tub- it is amazing and SO relaxing- we ended up spending half of our time there!
This is the best bed & breakfast I have ever been to. Hands down. Judy's place is a perfect haven for relaxing. I came here for a 4 day, 3 night stay for girls' time, and it was perfect!
Amazing. This is everything you hope for and more in a B&B. The host is fantastic. First of all, she is ultra responsive and texted and emailed immediately so planning my weekend was stress free. She gives you her full attention because it's a one-suite only B&B! No other guests will be at this B&B with you. I wanted to make the weekend was extra special for my wife's 30th birthday and Judy, the host, went above and beyond to make that happen. She set up a surprise picnic in a gorgeous garden with my wife's favorite food and even provided a birthday cake and roses. I definitely got a lot of points with the wife for that. It was so nice that Judy did all that for me so I wouldn't have to worry about it, and certainly was a bug surprise for my wife. Judy's suggestions for where to hike and which wineries to visit made us fall in love with Luray... and the views... wow!!! Then there was the outside hot tub with a mountain view in the back yard. I can't tell you how good that hot tub feels after a long day of hiking. The firepit also in the back yard is such great way to end the day with a glass of wine or three. Judy's suggestions for what to do in Luray made our short weekend so memorable. And her simple breakfasts are delicious!!! She gets farm fresh food, since of course there are a dozen farms right down the road. If you are looking for a romantic getaway in Virginia this is the place to come. Just two weeks before this we went on a cruise to the Bahamas and Virgin Islands and I have to say I would choose Peabody's B&B 10 times over the cruise. It felt like a real vacation.
Honestly, I will be comparing every future B&B to this one, thanks Judy!!!
Food: Judy also makes the best food- we had different amazing breakfasts every morning, and the farm to table breakfast is ABSOLUTELY worth it (we had french toast, grits, ham, sausage, bacon, berry crumble, frittata!). Since it was Easter, Judy also prepared a firepit for us complete with marshmallow Peeps for toasting (delicious), chocolate, peanut butter cups, and graham crackers! She could not have been more thoughtful.
Owner: She gives you the space you want, but is also really friendly. She also has the friendliest dog in the world- Miss Helen!
