My boyfriend and I spent 3 days here and they were 3 of the best days we had. The room was spacious. The manager was very helpful and kind and went out of his way if we had an issue. If we visit again we know where to stay.
No frills basic and clean motel. The owner was very nice and the price was low. Would have gotten 5 stars if the beds were a bit more comfortable.
Dishonest people suck! The clerk was accommodating and helpful, allowing us to view the room before booking. When I asked the rate, he told me $115. I agreed and filled out the registration. The price details of the invoice was left blank until he finalized the agreement. He kept the detailed receipt while giving me only a credit card receipt. I verified that the rate was $115, he confirmed. I thought the total seemed high so I requested a detailed foilo invoice- BAM, I was right, he charged $125. Of course he denied agreeing to the lower rate, but both my boyfriend and I agree. We confirmed the rate twice, and he lied, twice. It feels lousy being ripped off, especially over $10 on vacation. Lousy management, will not return.
We stayed here for 5 nights in November. It was an ok stay and I would probably recommend the place if you're looking for a Shenandoah getaway on a budget. The motel is sufficiently close to Shenandoah national park (15 min drive) and walking distance to a shopping center and some restaurants. The rooms are outdated which I do not necessarily mind, however, they are not super clean (we found an open pack of pretzels in a drawer and, upon informing the reception, we were told that it would be ok for us to throw it out; no apology or action), and the facilities such as wifi do not work all that well. We had a large TV but no HD, so we could count pixels; we did not really care. Having a fridge was very convenient and allowed us to pack lunch for our hikes.
Again, not a stunning place but definitely good enough for a getaway on a budget.
The place is excellent and the room was big, clean and nice. What was wonderful was the warm welcome we received from the hotel front desk manger - Vitthal. He gave us good options to eat nearby and also offered nice chai (tea) :) The hotel had big parking space in front of every room. There was nothing to complain about. Would highly recommend visitors to stay here.
